Custom Manufactured Right and Left-Handed Configurations

Wilson Machine's helical gears can be custom manufactured in both right- and left-handed configurations with an industry standard 20° helix angle. The helix angle acts to transmit motion and power between parallel shafts. Because of the curved shape of their teeth, helical gears connect more gradually and tend to run smoother than spur gears. Helical gears can also take more torque than similar sized spur gears.

Single VS Double Helical Gear Drives

Double helical gear drives are considered to be more efficient than single helical gears. Your choice will depend on the specific operating conditions.
